Uk Paramedics in Cyprus

Hi
Is there any call for UK Paramedics in Cyprus?

Thanks

Lou

Not sure.

I recently had to call the emergency services, and as I live within the SBA boundaries, an ambulance from the British Base was sent. There was one Cypriot technical and a UK paramedic ( I have to say it was very reassuring that and English guy was there, made the situation a lot easier). Maybe you could contact the SBA (Sovereign Base Area) and see if they are looking for anyone.

Also, as most people use private hospitals, you could check with them and see if they have a need for English speaking paramedics. Most ambulances only send a nurse and a driver. As far as I am aware, they don't administer any drugs and only give very basic first aid. Check online, most private hospitals have web sites.

I remember reading last year that someone was trying to set up a UK paramedic service for the Paphos area. What happened to that?
