Default Tax breaks for new immigrants.

I am currently living in Portugal and new immigrants here get a 10 year tax break where I am exempt from tax.
Does Cyprus have something similar?

Here in Cyprus the tax threshold is at the moment €19,500-00 per annum, if you have income up to that amount there is NO TAX to pay. There is no 10 year tax break here.

Thanks Major. That is a very high threshold and I am not even close to that.

Yes it is high and we live well on the state pension. We rent a two bed apartment. The rents are also low here. It is a good life. Glad to be of help.

We also are looking to rent in Pathos. Could you tell me what the rent is for a 2 bed flat near the city center. Thanks.

Difficult to be precise as lots of variable. Such as, ground floor, ensuite, lift,A/C,furnished,unfurnished etc. The average price for two bed furnished is around €300 to €400 per month. However there are some at only rent at €250 pm. In the end you gets what you pay for.

Been looking at a website and it seems like Cyprus is about €100 cheaper for the same type of accommodation as here in Portugal.
