Early retirement with school aged children?

Hi there. I may have "early retirement " forced on me in the next year or two due to massive long term industry turn down.
However, bought of returning to U.K. leaves us cold (literally as we have lived for years in tropics) as we have been away so long it's like a foreign country.

Where would be a good location in Cyprus to start investigating?
What budget per month would a family of four need?
School recommendation(s)?
Visa issues for Brits?

Thanks in advance

Paphos would be a good starting point as it is an all year round resort so unlike some of the East coast resorts it is closed down in the winter.
Limassol is a very busy city, not very child friendly IMO.
What ages are your children? Private education is but the government schools are appallingly bad. Cypriot teachers are the highest paid in Europe but the standard of education is the lowest.

"highest paid in Europe" I doubt that very much. Have you seen the salary for an "Oberstudienrat" in some parts of Germany ?

Thanks. About to start secondary, so looking at 7-8 years of fees. I had heard bad things about the local schools, but more bad in the sense they are local not international.
What would be an affordable if there is such a thing nearby secondary?
