Ahoy Cypriot Pommes!
Hi guys n gals, I'm Jake, a wandering Brit.
I am currently in Crete, but the olive season has finished here, and the spearfishing isn't up to much, so I want to head to Cyprus. I'm a RYA qualified skipper, PADI diver, experienced free diver and spearfisherman, trained chef, jack of most trades building and landscaping, web/graphic designer and I think thats about it as far as my experience and qualifications are concerned, oh yea, done bar work, sales and marketing in the past too, but i'd rather not do all that again unless there is nothing else.
So yea, anyone know of anywork going, or can offer accommodation to me for any length of time? Preferably near the sea, am happy to use my skills to pay my rent, work on your house, or free fish or a combination of both!
Anyway, thats me, I'm a pretty useful chap, and plan to be in Cyprus in a week or so. I speak Dutch and Spanish, and my Greek is getting better.

I should add that I would be happy to pitch a tent for now if thats all that is available. I have a tent. Ofc, again I'd prefer it if you are relatively close to the sea, but anywhere will do to start.

Hi, jobs are pretty scarce in Cyprus at the moment. Ayia Napa and Polis will be a good place to start for diving. There used to be a camping site in Polis, do not know if it is still operating though.

Ok, thanks man, seen a few hotel jobs advertised in the area, will visit them in person when I'm there, I have alot of skills, experience and qualifications, but I will do menial work to start if I must, was hoping I might find a boat owner or someone that runs a dive centre here, I am qualified skipper, dive master, experienced free diver and spearfisherman, I know other people do thios too, but I also speak 4 languages, must be something out there for me. Nvm, I will camp on the beach and sell fish until I can find something is i must.
