Visa application questions
Hello everyone ,
I’m a UK citizen , married to an American citizen . We have been married 18 years and live in the US . We are both 63 and in receipt of social security, my husband also has a military pension, having served 20 years and I have a small pension from when I worked in the UK . In total, they exceed the £18,600 required . Plus we have savings . Will our joint income be acceptable ?
Second question...on the application form, in the Family details section, Spouse/Partner is obviously myself , but the next section Father, Mother , is that my husbands father and mother ( who are deceased and never had passports or travel documents ) or my father and mother ( who are both alive and do hold passports ) ?
Last question ( for now I’m sure !) I am my husbands sponsor , is that right ?
Sorry if I’m asking silly questions, but I want our application to be 100% correct 😊
Thank you ,
Caz

Question 1. As long as the US pensions will continue in the UK, then, yes. You do not have to include savings if your pensions (either singly or joint) reach 18,600 GBP

Just to be clear re the Father and Mother details...they want my husbands parents details ? The section has red asterisks , which mean it has to be completed , right ? But they are both deceased and never held passports .

..... many people don't have passports. Just input all the other information needed.

Re: Visa application questions
Write ‘N/A’ if necessary and then give an explanation in the final section.
