Unmarried Surname on Paspport
Hi
I just wanna seek for advise, I got married few weeks after I renewed my passport, so basically on my passport still under my unmarried surname, will this be an issue on my visa application? As all of the requirements I will be submitting is not under my British husband surname yet? I already paid for the entire application and will be having appointment next week.

Your marriage certificate will show the cause for the difference in surnames. Many women do not take their husband's last name but prefer to use their original surname, especially if they have a career.

Exactly as Rete has advised. I didn't take my husband's name so all my documents including passport were in my maiden name for my spouse visa application, it wasn't a problem.

Yeah my wife and I got married 43 years ago and she STILL didn’t change her documents to my name! At this point I’ve given up waiting!
(And it’s never caused us any bureaucratic problems.)

No problem if you wish to keep your maiden name but if you wanted to take your husband’s name then it wouldn’t have been better to wait until you were married before renewing your passport.
