UK visa question for Green Card holder

Hi,

Me (US Citizen) and my wife (10 year Greencard issue 2004) are
planning on traveling to India with a stopover in London for 1 day.
Does she need any kind of visa's since she has a Green Card for 1 day
stopover?
Also same will apply when we return back to US via UK.

Thanks
bc.

Personally, I recommend consulting the consulate of the country
involved, the UK. The UK does not grant entrance based on US green card
status. http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk is the place to look. Click the link
for "DO I NEED A UK VISA?"
According to the tool, as a tourist, you need a visa if from the US.
If you are from India and a US permanent resident, you would not need a
visa if you were transiting airside for a same day flight.
