Uk visa for German citizen family member

Hi we had 2 kids having German passport but me and my husband had Pakistani passport but we had German permanent residence card. We are planning to visit my husband family who live in Uk. My husband mother live in Uk but she had Uk permanent resident card. I had a question that can we travel with our kids to Uk by road? As they are eu. And could we get visa at Uk border in France. Or we need to apply through proper channel. Please reply me as soon as possible

German passport holders do not require a UK Visa, just a German passport.

If you (parents) have Pakistan passports the you (parents) need to obtain a visa to visit the UK.
