Christine my Fiancee is from Hunt Valley in Baltimore County a gorgeous part of the States. I loved the comment about late bloomers, jesus what does that make us !!!!, We both decided we are 20 year olds trapped in mid life bodies.

Me I'm in Cambridge now but spent most of my life in Exmouth, Devon, and Sudbury in Suffolk. I saw names that i know well, Saffron Walden My best buddys birth place, Bury St Edmunds, worked there and still have friends there.

And Bishoips Stortford oh yes a bus drove into me on a roundabout there once, Mark your not a blind bus driver are you ?, if you are, and you ever hit a car on a roundabout, I forgive you

Default us/uk couples

I am US and husband is UK .

Our wedding didnt have any flags in it, but it had a mixture of American and British 'customs' used in the seat planning, food etc. We had our sugared almonds, but had a US top-table layout. UK wedding cake (marzipain..urrgh) but a US-style buffet meal. and so forth :-) . Friends of the family still say it was the best wedding they went to !!

Thanks-T.

Default appeasing brits

Get out the Tetley tea bags and the Cadburys!

Have PLENTY of tea ready, a pot always hot etc. to the same standard as coffee service.

I will probably think of more ideas later.

Well if it's my british in-laws, we just add lots of alcohol and give them all
night to party, seems to work . Then again, it also works for my cajun
family.

If you're having music, make sure you play some of the songs that we're hits
there too. My fiance (Scottish) is a DJ with an amazing amount of musical
knowledge and even he doesn't recognize alot of our popular stuff. People
like to dance to songs they know.

Hey Jill,

I'm also waiting for an interview date for my Scottish fiance! Hoping for an
April 13th wedding. When did you file in London? How long have you been
waiting for your date? They told me it would take 4-8 weeks and we're
nearing the end of that period now... still no date. Grrrrrr.

I am from southern Louisiana, so yes it is a bit far from Northwest
Arkansas. Maybe ya'll can come down for a Mardi Gras in New Orleans one year
and we could meet up!! Or maybe next time we are running away from the
Hurricanes we could make our way up north...lol...Hurricane Lilly took us
all the way to Dallas in October. I figured if I had not taken Clive away
from this storm he would have had his plane ticket back to England as soon
as the internet came back on...lol

Good luck to you and yours
Sheila
