Default UK Spouse Visa

Hi, I am new to this forum, I need help to apply for a spouse visa. I am a British citizen, living with my children. My wife passed away last year and I got married again. My wife applying for spouse visa under cat D saving route. My wife keeping £62,500 in the bank on her name from more then 6 months. I am working part-time because I have to look after my children. I am receiving Housing & council tax benefits, does it affect my spouse visa application?
I will be very thankful if someone help me please, thanks

You're fine under Category D. Your personal financial situation is irrelevant. You still need to fulfil the accommodation criteria though.

Thanks for your reply, Are you sure it would be fine with this satuation? I have to fill Apendix 2 Question 2.4: Is your sponsor in receip of housing benefit and council tax benefit?
Accommodation criteria would be fine as I am living in 4 bedroom property.
Thanks for your help

Hi, I've moved your post to your current thread, as it's not likely to be seen on the end of somebody else's unrelated thread.

As an aside, how do you get housing benefit and council tax benefit if your wife has over £62,500 in savings?

Details mentioned in my first thread, my wife lives abroad and she has sold her property and shares and has been saving her money in her bank account from more than six months.
My circumstances would change when she joins me in the UK.
Can any one help me regarding my above question please.
