UK Passport About To Expire

We are in the US and my son's UK passport is about to expire.

How do I go about replacing it?

His K4 visa is in it and so I'm assuming any future travel would have to be done using both new and old passport?

I'm off to do another search for the info, but any help here would be appreciated.

Not sure what'll happen about the visa...but the passport, can get a new one through local consolate, give them a ring...
