UK defacto visa advice needed!

After a little advice, if anyone is able to help..

Im a UK citizen, been living in melbourne for the last 8 years. I want to move back to England with my Australian partner of 4 years but we won’t meet the requirements because I need to work in the country for 6 months and show evidence. It looks like one possible way around it is to have minimum cash savings of £62,500 but can’t find much information on it. Is it as simple as having that money in my account for 6 months? We are both professionals and will comfortably meet the minimum income requirement, it’s just that getting a job and being apart for 6 months isn’t an option for us. I’d really appreciate for any advice on the cash savings and documentation needed for it.
Thanks

£62,500 in a bank for 6 months will do the trick. Being well-off helps !
