UK citizenship for adult child born to British father in USA?

The UK passport web site is confusing (as usual) . I'm thinking of suggesting to my 23 year old son , born and resides in USA, that in addition to his USA passport... he apply for a UK passport. I am a UK passport holder married to his mother who is an American. . He was born in 1993 , after we married .

Whats confusing. If you answer these questions they will tell you what to do and you can even apply online?

Providing you were born in the UK then your son is a British citizen by descent and has been since birth. He merely needs to apply for his British passport.

Consular birth registration is also available for a more permanent record of his British citizenship.
