TB Certificate - Is it needed for ROA (COE) applicants???
I am confused about the TB Certificate as to whether it is required for applicants of Right of Abode (certificate of entitlement). I can't seem to find anything at all when googling.
I understand that if you are applying for a UK visa (6 months+) you must provide a TB certificate as part of the application process. https://www.gov.uk/tb-test-visa states the following: You will not need a TB test if any of the following apply: you’re a diplomat accredited to the UK you’re a returning UK resident and have not been away for more than 2 years you lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months You do not need a certificate if you:
Does anybody have any facts on this matter? |

TB tests are required for those countries on the list when someone is coming to the UK for more than 6 months, China included. If South Africa doesn't apply to you, then ignore it.
A TB test is just a formality, dead easy to do, and is the last of your worries when moving to the UK as a foreigner. |

It shouldn’t be required as per this guidance but the application form will tell you if one is required.
