Spouse Visas & student finance
Hi everyone,
I am writing with regards to a potential situation I may find myself in during a spouse visa 2.5 year or 5 year reassessment. I am yet to submit any spouse visa application, however, I wish to know where I will stand in the future so I can prepare for it now.
In the hypothetical situation of a husband and wife having a perfect application throughout the entire process, if the UK citizen successfully applied for student finance after the first spouse visa approval in order to attend university, would this be viewed negatively during the 2.5 year or 5 year spouse visa re-assessment?
Please note that in this hypothetical situation, the financial requirement for the initial visa assessment, the 2.5 year assessment and 5 year assessment would still be easily met by wages alone.
Can you please share your views with regards to a tuition fee loan, a maintenance loan and a student grant.
Thanks a lot!!

Re: Spouse Visas & student finance
If, for the subsequent visa applications following the initial one, the applicant and/or the applicant's partner's income is 18,600 and over, then any financial aid for study will not affect the applications.
