Default Spouse visa - validity of CEFR A1

My foreign wife took the IELTS CEFR A1 21st September 2018. We intend to apply for a spouse visa on 1st September 2020. Our understanding is that the IELTS CEFR A1 is valid for two years. Therefore, would I be correct in believing that the IELTS CEFR taken 21/9/18 would still be valid for the proposed 1/9/20 application; that is, there is no rounding up/down to calendar month that would render it invalid?

Yes, it would still be valid. Just ensure it is the correct type and examination board.
