Spouse Visa questions/complications
Hello,
I have a few questions regarding the spouse visa and i've been having great difficulty deciphering the documents available online regarding them...
Scenario: I'm employed by Company A (a limited company) and have 6 months of payslips from Company A that show I meet the required income, however, I am also a shareholder in Company A and entitled to dividends.
Question: Can I carry out a normal spouse visa application without having to declare that i'm a shareholder in the company i'm employed by? (given that i'm not a director in the company)
Additionally, I have been given the advice that if I were a director of Company B it would be best to resign from Company B and become an employee as this would allow for a much simpler spouse visa application process, is this true?
Kind regards,
Arizoo

However my question is with regards Company A, given that you receive income, receive dividends and are the only shareholder do you own this company?

Re: Spouse Visa questions/complications
hey, so firstly, sorry for the confusion, there is no company B it was just another scenario. What I meant to ask was, if I was the director of a company would it be better to resign from that company and become an employee so that the application process would be greatly simplified?

Even only being an employee of limited company means such employment needs to be disclosed and company details provided.
Read the following Appendix FM-SE from Paragraph 9 onwards with regards what has to be produced as evidence for limited companies.
