Spouse visa question - one time visa or multiple entry
As far as spouse ( living in USA but not US citizen nor British) visiting her British husband and daughter is it easier to ask for one time visa or two year multiple entry visa for approval ?

Re: Spouse visa question - one time visa or multiple entry
I have heard of people being denied a visit visa because they have a spouse in the UK and the home office may assume they are going to overstay. Most of such cases are told to apply for spouse visa instead. However there are some who get the visit visa still. So just try your best to put together a good application. If you're going to be visiting often the 2yr visa is best

A standard visitor visa is multiple entry and valid for six months. A two year visitor visa application would beg the question, why are they not planning on living together for at least two years if they’re a married couple?

I guess that is my dilemma is which length of standard visa is more likely to be approved ?
I thought the spouse visa was for living in UK not just visiting , and I assumed a lot more paperwork would be required and a longer approval time. Are these assumptions incorrect ?
Crazy world to have to go through all this so a mother can visit a daughter in school.
