Spouse visa & public funds

Is it okay to claim NHS test & trace self isolation payment of 500 pounds whilst wife is on spouse visa? I am only claiming for myself and am a British National. Please do confirm, thank you

Yes, it's fine for you to receive that payment.

For your wife, see here https://researchbriefings.files.parl...5/CBP-9015.pdf

Q16. Will people with ‘no recourse to public funds’ be eligible for the Payment?
The Immigration Rules have not been amended to provide that the Test and Trace Support Payment counts as ‘public funds’. However, all the qualifying benefits count as public funds, so a person with ‘no recourse to public funds’ would not be able to satisfy the usual criteria for a payment. Where an individual is not in receipt of a qualifying benefit but meets the other eligibility criteria and could face financial hardship if they have to selfisolate, local authorities can make a discretionary payment (see Q13). Depending on their individual circumstances, people who have no recourse to public funds may therefore be eligible for a discretionary payment.
