Default Spouse visa financial requirement question!!

Hello all and thanks in advance for your time.

I'm a British citizen living in Australia with my husband.

I will sponsoring my husband in his UK spouse visa application.

I meet the financial requirements of the gross annual wage and a job offer in the UK.

However, I am not sure whether to apply under Cat A or B.

I have been employed with the same company for five years.

I earn a gross annual wage of $87,000 AUS - well above the requirement of 18,600 pounds.
But I have only been earning this wage for 3 months because I recently received a pay rise.

Prior to my pay rise, I earned a gross annual wage of $85,000 AUS - which is still above the threshold.

My understanding is that I can only apply under the Category A financial requirement IF I've been earning the same wage for 6 months.

But I'm not sure if that applies to someone who has been earning above the required wage for 6 months, but recently increased the wage.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I'd really appreciate your insight.

Thanks
