Spouse Visa Extension - Home details

Hi All,

I'm currently doing my Spouse visa extension, however in the Finance Home Details, my husband and I are a bit confused on which one to tick.

We own our own home outright, so have no mortgage payments. The statement concerning evidence of monthly housing costs mentions "such as...council tax" but then the last checkbox mentions council tax explicitly. We are not sure whether to check the first evidence checkbox as we have no evidence other than council tax, therefore we are checking the second checkbox. However, the final statement says the evidence is not needed but preferred but we must check it anyway to show it is understood but it is not clear if this statement applies to just one checkbox or both checkboxes for evidence.

Please can you advise?

Your screenshot is correct. If both your names appear on the title deeds then I would provide those of evidence of accommodation. You should provide a scan of your most council tax bill for the second part.

Hi BritInParis,

Thanks so much for your guidance. Really appreciate it.

Will finalise now. I hope you don't mind if I have a follow-up question just in case.

Enjoy your weekend
