Spouse Visa Extension / Flight to Scotland
Hi to the great members of this forum again.
Couple of questions and just to satisfy my wife (happy wife happy life).
1) - Spouse Visa (BRP) expiry is the end of June. I believe we have to submit within 28 days of the expiry date of the BRP card. Upon reading the forum and speaking to the solicitor. However my wife states we can submit it earlier and is concerned she will be over staying etc if not submitted in time?! Is this correct or can we/should we only submit within 28 days of the BRP expiry date.
2) Planning a flight to Scotland in March (before BRP expiry) would this be ok, no issues at the airport etc?
Thanks in advance as always all.

Re: Spouse Visa Extension / Flight to Scotland
If you are here on family route (as spouse or unmarried partner), and you entered UK on 33-month visa, then the earliest you can apply to renew your leave on form FLR(M) is on the 30-month anniversary of your UK entry (not from 'valid from' date on your visa, unless you arrived here on the first day of validity), minus 28 days. So for example, if you arrived in UK on your settlement visa on 17th June 2015, you can apply on 17th December 2017 (30-month anniversary), minus 28 days which will be 19th November 2017

1) You can submit earlier but it’s advisable to submit within 28 days of the expiry date. So long as you do this there’s no danger of overstaying.
2) No issues with travelling whilst the BRP is valid and there are no checks on internal flights in any case.

Hi all, so instead of Scotland. We are looking to go to Turkey before her BRP card expiry in June. Again upon reading Turkish embassy instructions it isn't clear. Can she travel to Turkey with Indian passport but with BRP card?
Thanks

Your wife needs some sort of visa to visit Turkey as Indian passport holder

The BRP card is irrelevant.

Was about to book flights to Turkey (visiting on health grounds with mum).
Upon going through the Turkish E-Visa process and it grants you a straight six month visa. The issues here is my wife's BRP card expires in June!
Could this be an issue even though we are staying for only a week and will show return ticket obviously.
Please advise as looking to book flight for the three of us (potentially with your answers, two) today?!!!
