Spouse Visa Approval in 9 weeks 4 days!
 

My UK Spouse Visa was returned - approved - 9 weeks and 4 days after I overnighted the physical passport package to UKVI!

As others have discussed they've extended the validity of the vignette to 90 days.

For background, We're US to UK, in the online uploads we included UK savings statements and some pension income for the financial proof, and we sent a photo narrative of proof of relationship that was 25 pages long!!! We included copies of marriage licenses, credit card receipts showing shared spending and payments, utility bills in both names covering 9 years (1 per year) and copies of mortgage statements with both our names (1 for each year we've been married).

Did you use the standard application or did you elect the priority service?

This was using the standard process, not priority. The only extras we paid for were shipping labels & progress notification (sms/email). We were stunned it came back so much earlier than we expected, especially since others were saying the process was taking longer than normal due to the pandemic.

I would say you did a great job packaging your application. You had all the supporting documents and I assume, in chronological order which makes it easy for them
Most likely, they saw yours as easy to process, so "lets get it off my desk" kind of thing and pushed the other ones aside for later
