Spouse Visa. Application locked in error.

Spouse Visa. Application locked in error.
Good evening,
My wife and i recently got married on a fiancee visa here in the UK. We are spending our time going through the Spouse visa application on the Home office site and were 90% complete but hadnt got all of our documents together plus wanted to tweak some our responses to provide further detail.
We got to the page where it has a link to make IHS payment and wanted to read up more information but this unfortunately locked our application, meaning we could not amend any previous responses.
Is it safe to start a new application from fresh as the previous one is locked?

I forgot to mention that atbthis point we have not paid any fee, either for the IHS or for the visa application.

If you haven’t paid then it’s not been lodged so feel free to start over.
