Spouse Visa - Accommodation Requirement
Hi all. The wife's visa application is coming along and I have most things in place. I just have a concern about my shared accommodation. My rent is all-inclusive, so I can't supply any bills (utility or council tax) in my name. Is this a problem? I'm relying on the following docs:
- Tenancy agreement
- Letter of permission from the landlord
- Property inspection report
Is this likely to be enough?

Providing you have your own bedroom in the property then that should suffice.

Hi BritInParis, I have just submitted my wife's visa application, however, I did not submit a property inspection report, I did not know it was necessary. I sent:
1- Tenancy agreement- for my one bedroom flat
2- Letter from the estate agency to say they have no objection in accommodating my wife in the flat and there is enough space for us both
3- Few utility bills
4- Council Tax bill
Would that be enough?

Is it only going to be you and your wife living there? You only need a property inspection report if you are going to be sharing with other tenants. The purpose of the report is to prevent overcrowding.

Yes, it's just going to be both of us. We don't have children.
