Default Spouse Visa - £62,500 Savings Question

Hi everyone, my wife is planning to apply for a spouse visa from the Philippines next year. We plan to borrow £62,500 from my mother so that I can sponsor my wife.
My question is how the letter of declaration from my mother should be formed. Should it go something like: 'I declare that I have given £62,500 as a gift to my son so that his wife and child can come and live in the UK'? Obviously more fleshed out than that.

Thanks

So are you borrowing it, or is it a gift never to be repaid?

We would be borrowing but it would be framed as a gift.

First rule when applying for a visa - be honest.

It can't be both - a gift is not a loan, and a loan is not a gift. ….. What you appear to be proposing is visa fraud, which is illegal and therefore this thread appears to be contrary to Site Rule #3 - see linked Forum Rules, above.
