Spousal Visa: Sponsor moving back to the UK.
Good day
New here but I would really appreciate some help.
I am planning to move to the UK next year with my wife.
I am a British Citizen and she is a South African.
I am currently earning approximately GBP 1000.00 Gross pm in ZAR (Given the volatility of the ZAR/GBP exchange this is not a very stable number) in South Africa
From January next year I will be earning GBP 2833.00 Gross pm with a new employee in the UK.
As I understand it we would need to apply under Salaried Employment Category B after I receive my April Salary 2833 x 4 + 1000 x 8 = 19332 over 12 months.
Alternatively we could apply under Salaried Employment Category A after I receive my June salary 2833 x 6/6 x 12 = 34000.
My question is am I correct in assuming we can apply under Salaried Employment Category B at the end of April?
Would there be a problem if there was a 15 day break in employment in January, other than possibly pushing back the time it takes for me to earn at the threshold?
When calculating the Salary am I correct in understanding that the gross salary is counted provided the full cash component reflects in the bank account, ie how are medical aid and other non-statutory deductions treated?
Similarly how would salary sacrifice and pension matching schemes be treated?
Would it be problematic if my wife traveled to the UK for the first 4 – 6 months of next year as a visitor on a visitors visa (She would not be working) and then return to South Africa waited for the Visa application to be processed then returned to the UK on a spousal visa?
Thanks for the help.

If your wife is not able to get a British visa, the OP can considers moving to another European country? Your wife can come with you via the EEA family permit system. Please note that as a British Citizen, you cannot exercise EEA treaty rights in the UK.
