Situation Spouse Visa UK 2020

Good day, as we’re all experiencing the worrying times of pandemic, hope everyone is well. My application was caught by the lockdown of Manila just before I was planning on completing my online application. It’s tough being away from family uncertainly. Now that the British Embassy have announced VFS Manila will be opening by 6th July, I am hopeful of the way things are continuing to move forward. My problem is my TB test certificate was done Dec 23, 2018 so it’s more than 6months now, do I really need to do that again? And do I also need this test for my almost 2 yr old son (NZ passport holder) whom I’m planning to take with me to the UK? (Plan for him is to enter on a visa on arrival and then apply for his British Citizenship while already in UK). Kindly advise, many thanks.

Children

All children must see a clinician who’ll decide if they need a chest x-ray. Children under 11 will not normally have a chest x-ray.

You must take your child to an approved clinic and complete a health questionnaire. If the clinician decides your child does not have TB they’ll give you a certificate. Include this certificate with your child’s UK visa application.

Yes, you need a valid TB test for yourself.

Thanks for the reply SanDiegogirl! Husband thinks TB test might not be required since my child will enter the UK on visa on arrival and being a New
Zealand citizen TB test is not needed. I am so confused.

You were already advised in your previous thread 6 months ago your child needs a visa or a British passport.

According to earlier posts and Brit in Paris' responses, I understand your son was born overseas to a Brit by descent, so your son does not automatically obtain British citizenship. Your son has a NZ passport.
As such, you must apply for a settlement visa at same time as yours. (unless you try to enter on his NZ passport in which case he enters as a visitor only - this might cause some problems at the border)
Accordingly, if the above is correct your son must obtain the relevant TB certification in order to apply for the settlement visa.

I apologize if my questions can be redundant. My stress is just on high since we started compiling docs and then the lockdown which means separation indefinitely.
