Single parent to apply dependent visa for child
See anyone can give me advice.
My friend is a British citizen by descent and unfortunately her husband has passed away. She has a 11 years old child & holding a non-EU passport. Both of them never been living in UK. Now she is planning to move to UK with her child. 1) What’s the application procedure & application form does she require? 2) If she is via the saving route, would the financial requirement is the same as a couple? 3) Will her child be able to obtain ILE straight away & apply citizenship after fulfill the 3 years residence period? Thanks in advance! |

1) She would need to apply for a child settlement visa. This is done online at https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome
2) There's no financial requirement for a child; just maintenance and accommodation. 3) If the other parent is deceased, yes. |
