Share code for mortgage application

Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this query.
I hold FLR (New Zealander) as the spouse of a Brit and we are applying for a mortgage. Our broker advises the bank will not accept my share code as sufficient proof of my rights in the U.K., as I am not an EEA/EU national. I hadn't encountered this before as my share code has been sufficient for previous and current employers, to buy another property, and to be able to rent.
I have also provided my BRP, but worry about further issues as the expiry date on this is 31/12/24 and not the actual expiry of my FLR in 2025, given the Home Office's stated intention of entirely digital proofs c. 2024. Of course the actual expiry date for my FLR needs to be ...proved by share code. Along with my BRP I have included the UKVI letter that explains the different dates, and the UKVI email advising my successful FLR application and the actual expiry date, but worry it presents too complex a picture.
Thank you in advance for any advice from those who have been there, and sorry if I am being naive.

Your bank is behind the times. The Home Office will be scrapping BRPs altogether by the end of 2024 (hence the expiry date) and share codes will be for everyone. I think what you are providing in lieu is fine.

Thank you very much, that's what I thought and was very surprised to hear from HSBC. Given it's been good enough to bank with them and it would be my proof if I applied for a job there!
