Settlement Visa APPROVED :) now what?
My brother's settlement visa (to live in the UK)has FINALLY been approved, after being denied 3 times...he has had his passport stamped today, and I'm trying to find out if he needs to have a return ticket? Or if he can have a one way? He's coming from South Africa (cape town), to London. I can't find anything online and they didn't say anything when they gave him his passport (I wasn't there so I couldn't ask).
Hopefully someone can help
Thanks,
Gwyneth

It's a settlement visa so a one way ticket will be expected although you may find a return ticket is actually a lot cheaper.

Congratulations to your brother, Gwyneth! Glad he was finally approved.
When activating a settlement visa, I don't think they care so much which kind of ticket one has. IMO, people enter on both kinds, because some have plans to visit the country they came from. (A return ticket was fine for a friend of mine a few years ago when she settled in the UK with plans to regularly return to the US to visit children there.)
