Routes to make my son British

I am British citizen of Indian origin currently living in India with my india born 12 years old son. I acquired British citizenship by descent. Could you please tell me the various variants to immigrate him to UK and make him British.

What about his mother? Are you married? If so, are you all planning to move to the UK together?

Yes, married. His mother holds Indian passport. Circumstances are such at present(and in near future) that we can't move to UK altogether. But separately i.e. me alone or with son possible.

You would need to move to the UK as a family for at least three years in order for you to register your son as a British citizen. You would need to do this before he turns 18.
