Default Right to abode

Hi all,
My partner will be applying for right to abode to the UK.
His mum is reluctant to let him send her original birth certificate. Is he able to send a certified copy?
Thanks

What do you mean by 'right to abode'? Do you mean your partner is a British citizen? Which country issued his birth certificate?

I take it your partner has decided against registration? In either case you can order a copy of your partner's mother's full birth certificate from the General Register Office if she was born in England or Wales.
