Returning to UK (Northern Ireland) with USA Spouse
My husband and I were married in 2007 in Northern Ireland. In 2008 we legally emigrated to the USA and have lived here ever since. I own a home in Northern Ireland and have family there. If I wanted to move back with my husband who is a USA Citizen can I do that or does he need some sort of visa? Also if he can will he be able to work? Thanks.

You need to prove that you are financially sound either by having a job that earns over 20k pounds per year or having 62k pounds in a bank account.
I am in the process of putting an application together myself for my USC wife and found this forum to be a life saver (thanks to all). Browse around some of the threads and you will find a lot of information.
Cheers

Does anyone know if it would be quicker/easier to go via Republic of Ireland - since I was born in Northern Ireland I have a Republic of Ireland Passport and can travel and work freely in Ireland North or South and England.

Other countries will have their own rules, including the Republic. Ultimately it depends where you would like to go.
