Returning to UK next year with non Eu wife
Just doing some pre planning as will be able to meet financial requirements next April when I pick up my pension. Married in Cyprus last year with wife and step son from Philippines where we lived for number of years . Wife is studying for English test exam in Dec. We plan to remain in UK and both Wife and son will apply for Citizenship.
When do they need to take Life in UK test.
One further question is they get a UK passport, would this be lost is they stayed away from country for more than 2 years or is it only the ILR they lose?

ILR, on the other hand, can be lost after two or more years living outside the UK.

Their citizenship will not be lost. The 2 year rule applies to ILR/PR.
