Apologies in advance everyone. I'm 4 hours deep researching and still not able to find answers.
After 10 years in Japan I'm looking to make the move back to the Uk, with my Japanese wife and 3 year old dual nationality son. Does anyone have experience of this? I've found figures posted regarding financial requirements however these are from 2013/14 so I'm wary.
Also - "For a foreign spouse only: £18,600 per year. For a foreign spouse and one child who is not a British citizen or an EEA citizen: £22,400 per year". As my son isa British citizen, does this exclude him from the 22,400 requirement?
I have several other questions but really this one is vexing me at the moment.
Genuinely appreciate any help on this matter, and genuinely would owe a beer to anyone who could point me in the right direction.
Much thanks again.

It is £18,600 plus an additonal amount for each non- settled / non british child
someone may correct me but that is my understanding
i don’t know if that salary though has to be earned in the uk or can also be abroad. I think it is latter, if you can proof you have earned £18,600 or whatever in japan you are eligible

Providing your son has his British passport then you only need to worry about the financial requirements for your wife.
