Reason to escalate?
Me and my wife have applied for a spouse settlement visa, and we are 28 BD into the application process. After having rung the immigration office in Sheffield, "the decision is still being made".
We will be escalating once, and if, we reach 30 BD. However, from what I understand, we need to mention a reason to escalate. Is this true? We don't have any change of circumstances, and simply want them to hurry up! The estimated time I was told at Qatar immigration centre was 3-6 weeks, and we are nearly past it. We cannot think of any particular reasons to escalate right now. Any suggestions what can be done to quicken the process and hear back soon?

28 days and it's too long? Jeez! We were waiting nearly 15 months for my partner's visa for Canada. That's from Australia. If I ever decided to apply for the UK I would be grateful not to wait a year or more.

lol I don't think I could wait that long, when I have paid for priority, and have been given an estimated guideline of around 5-6 weeks. Thankfully, a decision has been made for us (within 6 weeks) and just awaiting the result.
