"Re-returning" to UK with spouse...visa?
I need some advice, hope someone out there can help.
My husband and I (he is a US citizen, I am UK) are going back to the UK for a second time next year in search of a better life, job, etc.
We lived and worked there for 7 months in 2000 and he had a single entry "husband" visa that entitled him to work...(the pinky-red one that is stuck in and embossed on the passport page).
In 2001 we came here to live and work but now want to go back. Does he need to get another work visa, or can he use this one?
I know that it is often easier to get work visas OUTSIDE the country (we got this one while living in China!), and so we want to deal with it now.
Anyone know what we need or if he even needs a new one? If so, what kind?

SPOUSE ENTRY CLEARANCE
Dear Janie Jane:
Your husband will need to apply for an new ENTRY CLEARANCE certificate.
The visa is now issued for a period of two years (it used to be issued for one year as per the one he had in 2000).
The application will need to be made as before, prior to travelling to the UK.
You may find the "Entry Clearance" section on our website to be helpful. www.valuevisas.com
By all means email me directly at [email protected] for more detailed free advice. We are only too happy to be of service
With kindest regards,
Steve Purdy
