Hello,
So we are prepping to send in a spousal via application. I was just wondering if my original documents (marriage certificate, children's birth certificates etc.) will be sent back to me? Or does VHS just copy them?

Depending on where you are applying from, sometimes they are scanned and sometimes you will need to post the originals. Either way you’ll get the originals back.

I sent originals where possible and also sent photocopies of the originals (non-priority) from UK. I got ALL my original and copied docs back a week later, including original bank statements and payslips. They also sent a letter saying they had retained their own copies.
