Question about when 6 months for decision starts

Hello. I've read that generally it takes 6 months to get a decision for an application for citizenship using forms UKM or ARD. I'm not sure when that 6 month clock starts though - is it when they receive my application (ARD) and documents, when they take payment for the application, or when I do my biometrics? Thanks!

Whichever comes last however anecdotally they’re being processed much more quickly than that at the moment.

Lol, ok, I was afraid of that. Have you happened to hear of people with successful ARD applications? I've been haunting all the forums I can find just to see if anyone has been successful yet and haven't seen anything really.

At least one forum member has had a successful application taking around three months from application submission to ceremony date.
