Sorry if someone's already asked these questions and grateful for any answers!!

1) I'm confused about whether an accommodation report is mandatory? I've read some websites saying it's not required if living with immediate family but I'm not sure if that's correct advice. I am applying for my husband's spouse visa, we currently reside in the US and plan to stay initially with my dad. He owns the house, it's 3 bedrooms and well maintained, and there are no other occupants so plenty of space. Do we need to supply an accommodation report in this case?

2) my dad lives in Scotland but my job offer is in London. We plan to go flat hunting in London before my job starts but not sure if it will jeopardise our application with my temporary residence not being close to London?

1. No, it’s not mandatory. You should provide written permission from your father and evidence that he owns the property in question.
