Pls help.
Good day expats.
I need your help desperately. My stepdad was born in England in 1931. He landed himself in South Africa in 1970.He married my mother in 1991and legally adopted by him in 1992.Please help in explaining how I may obtain a British passport or what steps I have to take to squire a visa. Also do my own children have any benefits when applying for visas to the UK
Thanks

I'll move your thread to the Moving Back to the UK forum, where hopefully somebody will be able to help - JAJ is our resident expert on such matters, so fingers crossed he sees your thread.
How old were you when you were adopted by your stepfather?

In the absence of JAJ I would suggest that you wouldn't be eligible for a British passport unless your stepfather registered you as a British citizen before your 18th birthday.
