Hi everyone, I would be very appreciative if you could look over my document checklist and let me know if you notice anything missing or needing to be changed. We are applying for the spouse visa cat D from the USA using funds from the sale of our home and plan to put the application in very soon (haven't decided if I'll do it myself) Thank you!

Applicant's Documents
- Priority processing receipt
- Cover Letter written by applicant
- Printed online application form
- Appendix 2 form
- Stamped biometrics appointment confirmation sheet
- Receipt for application payment
- Receipt for IHS surcharge payment/IHS number
- Current passport (doesn’t have any old)
- 2 passport photos
- Return shipping label
- (no English language or TB test required)
Sponsor's Documents
- Sponsorship Letter
- Colour copy of bio page from UK Passport
Accommodation Documents
- Signed Accommodation letter from my family (stay for free as long as we need)
- Land Registry document proving the house is owned outright by my parents
- Survey stating, we won’t be overcrowded
Financial Documents- (Cat D- sale of property in last 6 months)
- Lawyer letter that says net proceeds and that all fees and taxes are paid (also says how long we owned the house)
- Bank letter or Statement showing net being deposited into savings (matches lawyer letter and closing disclosure)
- Closing disclosure (itemized closing costs and net sum highlighted)
- Mortgage payoff letter
Relationship Documents
- Marriage Certificate
- photos of sponsor and applicant (I’m including 1 per year of marriage to equal 12)
- The first page of IRS Form 1040 showing married, filing jointly, and same home address from last 7 years we have been married.
- Car insurance bill with both names
- Kids birth certificates
- Facebook messages screenshots over the years (two pages)
- Water bill only in applicants name (same address as sponsor)
- Health insurance bill only in sponsor’s name (same address as applicant)
- Insurance cards (both names)
- Property tax bills for last 3 years (both names)
- Property insurance (current with both names)
- Cat vet care bills with both our names and the same address

Looks fine. You shouldn’t need to include Appendix 2 anymore as you give your financial requirements information on the online application form. I would add a certified copy of photo ID (passport/driving licence) for the family member(s) who signed the accommodation letter. Otherwise good to go.
