Period allowed away from UK on Spouse visa

Hi everyone -

I have a question on how many days in a given year can my husband (Indian passport , UK spouse visa holder until 2025) be away from the UK?

After reading up and researching the subject it seems that there is no specific limits given to UK Spouse Visa holders , other than “it should be reasonable” - for example, no longer than 6 months in a given year. This obviously makes sense.

My husband plans to spend 3 months away from the UK in 2023 (we are currently living in Manchester) due to family issues back in India.

It sounds like this will not be an issue from the perspective of observing the rules of UK Spouse holder stay requirements , but has anyone had any relevant experience ?

Any inputs are much appreciated.

Many thanks ,

Three out of 12 months won’t be an issue.
