Paid for UKF online... curious about next steps
 

Just finished my UKF application online, paid and everything. The next step tells me to send in my documents to Liverpool within 20 working days. I want to confirm - is it necessary to send mine and my fathers (his UK) original passports, as well as our original birth certificates? Seems odd to fill out the form online and then also send documents by post. Just want to confirm with others who have done this process before I go sending my original passport across the world! If this is the case, what is the next step after they receive my documents?
