Hi all ,

Friend of mine British passport holder his son born in usa and came with parents and got entry on his usa passport. he applied and got his son consular birth certificate here in uk.

Now he wants to apply for his British passport , so what sort of documents he need to send with his passport application.

Usually the consular birth certificate should suffice by itself. As he is applying from within the UK then also include a photocopy of the applicant's US passport.

Send in a colour photocopy of the passport otherwise he may end up being stranded whilst his application is processed. If the passport examiner really wants to they can request the original. Your friend shouldn't need to submit any other documents other than the original consular birth certificate.
