Default Original Documents- accomadation

When sending my documents to my husband from the UK, our rental agreement and letter from the letting agent was water damaged. I received compensation from the courier service and have a letter in evidence of this. Unfortunately it was my original copy of my rental agreement that was damaged. I have a photocopy in the UK. Can we submit the photocopy or do I need to get the letting agent to create a new agreement? The copy that was water damaged is still readable but very obviously damaged (ink has run). Also does anyone know if documents can be sent from the UK to Sheffield to stop us risking having anything happen to these documents when sending them overseas. My husband is currently in the US.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If it is still legible then I would send both the damaged original and the photocopy with a note explaining together with the compensation letter.

Yes, you can send your supporting documents from within the UK.

Would we have to wait until after my husbands biometrics so he can include his passport in the package as I'm assuming he will need this on the day?

Yes, you should wait until after he attends his biometrics appointment.
