Default Is a one year contract job offer acceptable for spouse visa.

If the job offer letter includes contract dates is it acceptable for me the sponsor to have a one year contract job offer?

I haven't seen any stipulations on this.

Thanks much!

This seems like an interesting question, because no job offer has any guarantee at all... if I'm offered a permanent job, I could be terminated after two months or the employer could go out of business and let everyone go, so in a sense a contract for a year may be better than a permanent job offer..?

Providing the annual salary is above £18,600 pa then it doesn't matter how long the contract is for.

Ok good! I hoped that I hadn't missed some fine print somewhere.

I agree, a 12 month contract is probably more certain than an open ended one.
