Default Once I receive a job offer (Spouse Visa from US)

Looking for a bit of guidance here, once I receive a job offer in the UK, am I right in saying it takes roughly 30 days to apply for the spouse visa with the job offer as evidence, also can someone point me to the exact application form, I'm slightly lost.

Also is there anything in terms of an interview needed before getting the Spouse visa?

Thanks in advance

Edit: I believe I have just found the correct application method, it appears to be an online form.

Don't quite know what you mean by 'takes roughly 30 days to apply for the spouse visa"

You apply for the visa online - then get an appointment for you biometrics to be done, then send all your documentation to Sheffield for processing. The processing of your application could take up to 3 months (maybe more); probably less if you pay for priority service.

Most people find that getting all the documentation together - financial, accommodation, relationship evidence - takes up the time prior to hitting the on-line button to submit your application.

Once approved, you have 30 days in which to enter the UK to pick up the BRP document.

Just a point - even if you obtain a job in the UK, unless you already can prove you have been earning the equivalent of 18,600 GBP per annum in the US, the applicant can't apply based on your job in the UK; YOU would have to work at the job in the UK for 6 months and THEN the applicant applies from the US

The following document informs you as to the only categories you can apply under:

I’ve definitely been misinformed about it taking 30 days then! I currently earn 34,000USD a year ihbmy current job that I’ve been working for the past 5 years so that’s no issue and having gone through the US system from fiancé visa to citizenship I’vegot plenty of evidence, but it’s definitely good to know from me submitting everything it can take months. Now for the biometrics is there a way I can find where the nearest place would be I would be doing that, I remember reading somewhere it’s actually the same places you go to for the US visa biometrics, is this true? I should add I live in Dallas, TX

Well, you wouldn't be taking the biometrics, the applicant would; and if she is submitting from Dallas it would be somewhere around there.

Thanks for the help.. need to get out of the immigrants mindset, of course my spouse would be the one having her fingerprints taken.

Another quick question, if I apply for the Spouse visa using a job offer, would I be able to then move to the UK ahead of my spouse to start working the job with my wife then following once visa is in hand, or will that affect the visa (Meaning do I have to basically stay in the US working my current job until the visa is in hand)

No problem with the sponsor (you) returning to the UK before your wife gets her visa. Once her visa is approved she can travel to the UK with you or after you, just not before you.

Perfect! Thank you very much for the help, this makes it 100x easier knowing I won’t need to tell the employer I need at least a 3 month notice period due to my wife’s visa.
