next step for son in law

Good afternoon everyone. I cant believe that it is nearly time for my son in law to log the application for his second stage of the spouse visa. I can seem to find conclusive infromation on a couple of points ,What IELTS test does he need to sit? Does he need to re do the TB test ? Everything else we have covered but those two issues are driving me crazy. My son in law is South African by birth, he has been back to South Africa twice since he received his first visa, the first visit for 3 weeks and the last one for 2 weeks. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
